Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Science Research and Reviews (JOSRAR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are rigorously checked for plagiarism using advanced detection tools to ensure originality.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using someone else’s work without proper citation.
  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without permission or acknowledgement.
  • Self-plagiarism: Reusing portions of previously published work without citing the original source.

Plagiarism Detection

Manuscripts submitted to JOSRAR will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that exhibit more than 15% similarity with other published works may be rejected without further review.

Actions Taken in Case of Plagiarism

  1. Minor Overlap: If plagiarism is minor (less than 15%), authors will be asked to revise and resubmit the manuscript with proper citations.
  2. Moderate Overlap: If the overlap is significant but unintentional, the manuscript will be rejected, and the authors will be advised to rework and submit afresh.
  3. Severe Overlap: In cases where substantial portions of the manuscript are plagiarized, the submission will be rejected outright.

Self-Plagiarism

Authors must avoid self-plagiarism, which involves reusing their previously published work without acknowledgment. If portions of previously published content are essential, proper citation must be included.

Preventive Measures

  • Authors are encouraged to ensure that their work is original and appropriately cited before submission.
  • Proper paraphrasing and citation practices should be followed to maintain integrity and originality.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a serious offense in the academic community. If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the following actions will be taken:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
  • Retraction of the published article (if plagiarism is discovered post-publication).
  • Blacklisting of the authors from future submissions to JOSRAR.

We strongly advise authors to adhere to ethical standards and ensure that their work complies with JOSRAR's plagiarism policy.
